I agree that sex is not as bad as violence. The beef I have with the Hentai is that we're a gaming board/site/whatever NOT a hand drawn porn site. To me it just degrades the wholesomeness of the site.

Mmmm... i think just the oposite. A fansite dedicated to Grandia II should contain EVERYTHING Grandia II related stuff, even if it is Hentai.

Hentai is one of the Manga subgenres, and i think it should be included also when it comes to make a fansite, because it is fanwork done by artists who indeed like Grandia II. According to my own experience, i'd never draw hentai about a character i didn't like, so, Hentai art is just a proof of your like for that game/story.

And because of that it should be included, for it is fanwork.

Not obstant, much people find hentai offensive, i have nothing against them, and i respect their opinion, so, there is a warning signal before you can see it. But as Wiseman says, it should not be forbidden as something dirty and depraved.

One of the things the Granaboard hosts is fanart. It'll host all forms of visual and written Grandia II-related art as long as they aren't disgusting or offensive. I think it would be pointless to disallow a particular form of art and expression, especially considering this is the only Grandia II site which hosts it.

For example: Would you consider this piece of art hand-made porn? And this one yaoi hardcore?

I'd like to comment that those are somewhat forced examples for what you say Hentai ("the naked Beauty" (Of Goya) is better in that meaning)

I mean, there are two versions, "the dressed beauty" and "the naked beauty". Why Goya Painted the naked beauty having the dressed one? what was he thingking when he painted it?

Dude I just got the game today it's hella tight.

Anyways, Wiseman, that classical art is fine, it's art, I'm not against nudity. I'm against pics of women masturbating and involved in Lesbian acts (no matter how much the cave man in me thinks those are cool [img]biggrin.gif[/img] ). That isn't needed on a game site. I'm not against Fan Art in general but I draw the line at what most would consider bad taste.

Precisely, that is fanart in its most pure essence. I'd never draw that (i feel identified in that sentence, sorry [img]smile.gif[/img] ) if i didn't liked it, also, i'd not feel offended if i found something like that in a fansite. It is conveniently marked, if you don't want to see it, you don't HAVE to. I think that all kind of art, as far it is not very disturbing or bizarre, is nice, for example, i'm still waiting to see Yaoi art about G2. I haven't found any at all the internet (and No, i'm not going to start doing it, the caveman inside is liberal, but not so liberal [img]tongue.gif[/img] ...)

Right, there's a simple reason why violence is accepted and sex is not. It all goes back to Jesus.

Through out the bible, Jesus did bleed at some point and was killed in a brutal way. However, he never engaged in sexaral acts, not even his parents did (which pretty much destroys the laws of physics and nature). Because of this, people are numbed to the greater evil of violence, and draw their attentions to sex. All because there is no mention that one guy who could turn water to wine(hmm... that would explain why alcohol is legal) had sex.

How ironic. The bible is the root of all evil.
